About SE
You last heard from Sarah when on that auspicious day in June '08 she released Just Say Midlife Crisis which inspired a whopping 23 comments, building from "I'm pretty sure we must have dated in high school" to "It all made me feel like I'm in that episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 'Band Candy,' where demonic chocolate makes adult teenlike" to "Are there any *men* who like that 'Perfect Skin' song?—Signed, Sam", which led to "I own the Perfect Skin 12" which is way better than Buffy reruns—Signed, Ray" followed by "Ooooh! It's a FemmeGuy-off! I love these" which might have egged on "I retract what I said about 'Perfect Skin.' Didn't know enough Lloyd Cole fans to make statistically valid gender generalizations. A 'Perfect Skin' 12"? I'm trying to imagine that. Is there a conga drum & breakbeat dance breakdown part?—Signed, Sam' and then, from Sarah: "Funny, I was going to put 'Forest Fire' on, but then went with 'Perfect Skin' so Ray could have first dibs on the bragging rights for still owning the 'Perfect Skin' 12." And so on.
Liner Notes
Work life balance - yeah whatever. In case you have missed me during the last 18 months, I have been working non-stop 24/7 deploying the MS Retail Stores across the USA and spending all of my time in airports, planes, rental cars, hotels, but most of all MALLS. Land of food courts & chain restaurants, irate construction workers & cranky engineers, multiple technology anomalies & hardware failures (daily), navigating the “middle earth” service corridors, perfecting eye diversion for plumber crack exposure, late nights that become early mornings, dirty pee-reeking loading docks, surviving off triple espressos, and doing everything possible to ensure that my phone is charged the entire stretch! I have written over 100 love songs dedicated to my bed and there is not an inappropriate joke that I have not heard. I have witnessed the unmentionable. Sounds glamorous huh? Life-aholic is a mini-compilation of my experiences, kick-starts, head-butts, and half–assed glories while on the road.
Mix is up; USE SAME NEW PASSWORD; REMINDER IS IN YOUR EMAIL. See you back here or on our members-only Facebook page soon.
Until next week,

Not gonna lie; after reading your notes I was expecting ten remixes of Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream' - maybe I'm projecting my mall experience on to yours... these songs cut through all that misery and shine. Thanks!
Thanks Licky! Please note that Perry and Bieber were sadly cut in the first pass.
What? No Hipsway?
How many times can I type the word "love" before all the servers crash?
It turns out I *have* in fact missed you during the last 18 months, I just didn't know it. This joins the fray with the previous half-dozen or so 3MPMs (and a Valentines-day mix a barista gave me) (?!) competing for all my listening time. One giant scrum.
Dear hostess: Can we see a bigger version of the cover?
Whatchoo talkin bout, Willis (Steven T)? Cover image isn't normal size for you? Hmmm, it looks good here, on Safari and Firefox. Not sure what to do there, except recommend an Apple@ brand, though it's prob cheaper to just go into iTunes and double-click on the cover art there....
XOK
Clicking it in fact pops open a version that's 561x500, which is in fact "bigger". But I guess I meant "bigger-er".
(Presently intriguing coffee-shop over-shoulder-looker with the bigger-er image from Fritz's mix last week. "Is that a friend of yours?" "Yes! It's my cousin!").
Safari? Firefox? Are those web browsers? I'm using something called NCSA Mosaic. Should I upgrade?
I swear I didn't know she was your cousin, man!
My iTunes is going kookoobrainz with love for D.A.N.C.E. Srsly. I have it on shuffle and it's played it at least three times a day ever since I downloaded this mix (which was, obvs, the minute it was available). This particular hard drive has 11164 songs, so three times a day on shuffle rarely (never) happens. Well done, Justice! When's the nuptials?
Holy crap! Steven T, I can email you a larger shot of the cover art if you really want it(???), it is random stupid stuff I took while on site - just don't do anything illegal with it since I *am* under contract/NDA and the pics I took w/ my iPhone:) may not go over well with the big MS boys! Christina, we listened to the Justice album (Cross)for one entire store and drove around like hooligans in a packed (6-7 peeps min) Cadillac (with air conditioned seats), it was an appropriate start to a crazy journey. Love it.
No worries Sarah, I would just stare at it open-mouthed like 12-inch album art (Styx "Paradise Theatre" comes to mind) whilst sitting on my couch. Or driving to work. Or working. Or "working".
Two Door Cinema Club: earworm!!!
Phoenix: awwwwesome.
Blitzen Trapper: is that the same sequencer Martha & the Muffins used on "Echo Beach"? :-)
The Whitest Boy Alive: YES!
Thank you. Very much.
Steven T, your Mosaic comment made me smile. State of the art!
Sarah, this mix is the Rx for this week: totally what the doctor ordered! Putting pep in the pop and keeping things way UP. Best part: unlimited refills.
Steven (T) - I'll be giving you full 'credit' for "Too Much Time On My Hands" when it's on repeat at work today.
patches, this is very happy, and makes me very happy. coincidence? i think not.
Pepi, I do all of this for you (and to make up for the occasional drunk texting).
OK, So I am going back in time to up my comments stats, but hey time=space and sometimes we come back to the same place, right?
Nice mix Sarah. Just enough up for a Friday afternoon, but mellow enough to sit down for a few minutes.
The Justice song is a great opener. Why does it sound like a remix of an old children's song?
I've heard Wax Taylor, but never knew who it was. Thanks for putting it together -who Wax Taylor as well as the mix.
