Hey Miraclers, remember that no-show guy from a few months ago?
"Casimer Pascal," aka Craig Badynee, due date 12/29/08. Not a peep from him then or since. We’re resourceful here so we worked around it, but don’t think Your Hostess, aka Pop Music Lion Mother, fully got over it. Since that dark week, I’ve had someone out combing the landscape for our guy. Wasn’t cheap, but as you’ll see today, totally worth it.
About today’s mix, in the words of 3MPMP Bounty Hunter Toby Barlow
"I got paid good galactic credits to track down this one and I found him eating boiled boot leather at the bottom of a concrete ravine. Craig Badynee. Right. After I tossed him around a bit, smashing his monocle and bruising his ego, he was almost ready to talk bacon and eggs. He offered me a fake Swiss army knife and some old Avenger comics but I said nope. I needed the collection, the one I was sent for, the one he had been hiding. He took a little more convincing. Once I was done, he crawled around through the debris, picking through faded newspapers and reaching into old change jars until he pulled this up out of a pile of used wool, “I was meaning to give it to them.” he muttered, handing it to me. I didn’t say anything, just checked the playlist, boarded the sky chopper and heading out for Alacia, in the Quonet sector. Then I caught a transit here. I don’t know where he is. Probably just where I left him, humming to himself in the fetal position, back there in Chicago.
Who am I? Just another hero. Sort of like Han Solo, only cooler."
We love a happy ending at the 3MPMP
Big thanks to Mr. Barlow for procuring this golden nugget, and to Mr. Badynee for creating it. (Sorry about the monocle.) Funnily, Craig Badynee turns out to be the main guy in this band Pas/Cal (track 2) whose music pretty much epitomizes the essence of the pop miracle. Glad the secret’s finally out.
Mix is here. Have a fab week all, XOK

Worth the wait. And I really like yer band.
Love the Pas/Cal. Bought/loving your album. So you are already $9.99 richer from having come in from the cold into the Pop Miracle fold.
Love the FrYars. So that's a 19-year-old British boy making that stuff? Insta-bought his stuff too.
Thanks for the fun mix, Craig/Casimer. Where do you live, anyway?
XOK
Short, but oh-so-sweet. My face shield's off to you, Mr. Badynee. A delight top to bottom, but I especially liked the Pas/Cal, Scott Walker (dug the Procol Harum-esque strings) and FrYars tracks. All that and a new-to-me Bowie song along with a Hot Chip outro. Yippee!
