At our recent Definitive Collection Exchange evening of libation/compilation-sharing, a secret hope of mine was that we'd get some mixes like today’s: a band most of us have likely not heard of. Creator Alan Richardson describes Airiel as “Chicago shoegaze: in the vein of My Bloody/Kitchen/Cocteau/Ride. Awesome records, great live.”
After many listens over here at Pop Miracle HQ I can attest: it's a real nice mix and, dare I say, perfect for a workweek-denial Sunday.
