Some Miracler testimonials on that one:
"I know Our Hostess doesn't like it when we start ranking mixes—we're all about inclusiveness here at the 3MPM—but it's at the very tippy-top of my list" and "I concur—a lot to like and a nice consistent blank-space-in-the-production tone" (?) and "A great mix for a summer night" and "I really, really love this music. I almost feel... I don't know... sensitive?... when I listen to it." As for me, feel free to loop that whole mix at my funeral, if you—and MP3's—are still around then.
Today's mix,
another stunner for your lucky ears, also delighted my iTunes with the novelty of just about every artist name. "You think you KNOW me, Genius®? You don't know me!"
Big congratulations to our 3 winners of Friday's Sweepstakery
Your prize is winging its way to you at this very moment. Thanks to all who played, and for all you cherished serial commenters who make The Prodge a vibrant and super-fun thang.
Mix is up; same password. See you back here or on our members-only Facebook page soon.

Swirly, indeed! Much to relish. Here are some comments as they come:
-Cryan' Shames: Shin-like arty dream pop. Oh yeah.
-Lazy Smoke: I love the way it refuses to be straightforward; lots of deliciously odd flourishes
-Black Rock: Yeah Yeah, indeed!
-Ofege: Love that guitar right up front, noodling.
-Roger Shriver: oh, man — that horn on top of it all is perfect.
-Morgen: cool, through and through.
I love that I don't know one name in this mix. And I love that there is this very particular sentiment that runs through it — things almost straightforward but not, a dream take on the world.
thanks.
I haven't heard of most of these artists. Interesting, slightly psychedelic at times, quite good -I think this mix will sound better each time I play it. Thanks.
Great opening, great overall vibe, super fun mix. I just read something about both Honeybus and Ofege. Cool to hear them here.
Also extra credit to you for what sounds like a labor-intensive effort "ripping" records for this mix.
One word: Ofege. I must bow down to you, sir.
Doug Patt: You love that song because it reminds you of Ween.
What a wonderful thing to find this mix in my inbox after getting home from 1/2 of a root canal. The pain is gone. The drugs are good.I think
I'm in heaven. LOVE the HONEYBUS and
Ofege, and that crazy bagpipe shit. You're the best, TB!
Them Cryan Shames are definitely especial!
Thanks for the fine ride!
Wow, I dint know none of it, 'cept the Stones, course, but it's groovy.
Love this mix, and love finding this record collector's blog (with downloadable 45's!) http://devildick.blogspot.com/ from searching for info on that awesome Billy Duke song. Is that where it came from?
The Billy Duke song is from the devildick.blogspot. It seems to be in my head everytime I ride my bike uptown in the morning. His site has some other great links as well.
Not necessarily stoned, but beautiful. Thanks for sharing, Todd.
Now I taste the tears is right. ('whats done is done', god yes) this mix gets better with each listen. great for a punchy hangover rainy sunday afternoon naathin' to do.
Some others have said it before, but I'm diggin' the decidedly Lo-Fi quality of this Mix. Thank you!
Wow. I am totally loving this....and I have to confedd I have never heard of a single band/artist on this mix. Eep. Happy to have some great new discoveries, Sir Swirly.
This is the perfect mix to accompany a dinner party!
I especially like the Morgen song!
Hey Todd, this is an excellent mix ... for a damn hippie.
I really do like it, especially the bagpiping Shames and the easy pedaling 'One Fine Day'. New to my ears - thanks.
Todd, "Under Skies" is a gorgeous track. Could have been recorded yesterday. The ultimate 3mpmp track.
"Someday Girl" - The Moon sounds like a more orchestral Nesmith. Great!
No wait, Morgen sounds more like the Monkees.
Everything straight to my Ipod. Thank you.
I was hiking yesterday, and put this mix on. Just as track #1 came on, I was standing at...yes, a fork in the trails. I went to the LEFT!
And then there is the mystery of the meaning of (rmk) on that Stones song. Short for "remake" (but where's the other version?)...or Robin M Klein, their manager's daughter born under Cancer???
